Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch

June 2020

"For the Love of Animals" features real stories happening at Furry Friends in Jupiter. We are The Humane Society of Greater Jupiter/Tequesta and the only no-kill shelter open to the public in northern Palm Beach County.  We’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing the homeless animals in our community for more than 30 years.  Our not for profit 501c3 organization consists of our Jupiter based Adoption Center, Veterinary Clinic (open to the public), Thrift Boutique, and Palm City Ranch.

COMMUNITY.  It’s amazing how ours has pulled together during these tumultuous times.  Six months ago could not have imagined a worldwide pandemic.  It just goes to show how we all need each other as we practice social distancing and maintain hope for the future.

At Furry Friends, the response of fosters, adopters & sponsors during this crisis has been amazing.  At last count, we’ve had 159 short-term fosters and 175 adoptions.  Many of these fosters became adopters upon realizing that their house truly became a home with their Furry Friend.  The healing nature of animals has benefited people just as it has our furry residents.

Last month we launched our Emergency Comfort fund because of our inability to accept donations into our facility. We asked for your help and YOU came through for our animals.  Thank you! This has enabled us to purchase bedding, food and much needed supplies. We are all so grateful.

We thank you for donating to Furry Friends, regardless of the amount.  EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR makes a difference in the lives of our animals… just like Jet and Heidi below. The plight of so many needy animals only increases during such times and Furry Friends is a not-for-profit that relies primarily on your donations to survive.

When considering adding a furry family member to your family, please visit our Palm City Ranch at 4841 SW Zarrella Street or our new Jupiter Adoption Center at 100 Capital Street in the Jupiter Commerce Park.   PLEASE CALL 561-747-5311 PRIOR TO VISITING EITHER LOCATION DUE TO COVID19.

Blessings to you for your support and faith in us… all for the LOVE of animals!
